Availability and pricing
Availability and pricing accuracy, plus pending booking requests and host declines.
Is the availability shown on the website accurate?
In short, yes. The availability shown on the site should be accurate.
To be a Stay Luxe host, certain service standards must be met, and availability is one of the most important, so we monitor it closely. All Stay Luxe hosts must keep their external calendars synced correctly and keep their seasonal rates and other details up to date at all times. This is set out in our host agreement, which must be agreed before a home is published on the site.
If you would prefer to check with your host before booking, you can contact them directly.
This home shows zero availability, is that correct?
In some cases this is correct, for example if the host has recently taken a long-term tenant. In others, the host may not have opened their calendar for that season yet. On average, hosts open their calendars around 12 months in advance.
Is the price shown the total?
Yes. Just make sure the correct dates and number of guests are entered on the listing, and the price displayed will be the correct total in your home currency, inclusive of all taxes and fees. There are no hidden charges and nothing to add on top.
I can’t see the calendar to check prices and availability
If there is no calendar displayed on a listing, the home is not currently bookable. This is usually because the home is under review, for example if we have identified that its availability or pricing needs correcting, or we are waiting for the host to make changes.
Why does the price change once I enter my dates or number of guests?
Several factors can affect the final price:
- Seasonal rates
- Additional guests
- Weekly or monthly discounts
- Tax
These are built into the pricing for each home. Without your details entered, you only see the base rate, so it is important to enter your exact dates and number of guests to calculate the correct price for your stay.
